Playing with these new little goodies this evening.....

.....along with about 15 different colours haha decisions decisions!!

Still love getting my new box from Mr UPS - always a little something for me in there.

I am hoping to catch up with my birthday cards by doing a few of each colour so that I have a few in the box for when I need them

Evening all

Weekly deals again..... where do the week go!

Valentine Day 2016

Afternoon all

Thought I would show you the valentine card I made for Mr C.  I do have to admit that it was a last minute make as things have just been really busy at the moment.

Mr C does appreciate a hand-made card, but likes a keep it simple version.... so here goes!

 


I used DSP from Going Places... cute little arrows & perfect for valentines.  It had to be Real Red card stock and the stamps are from Hello Life and Sophisticated Serifs (retired) but you could choose the Larger Than Life Alphabet and Numbers from the annual catalog as an alternative :)

Just wanted to show you these arrows close up! they are super cute

Don't forgot those last minute orders if you still want one of the limited SAB set :) You only have until tomorrow!!

Storage of Stampin' Up! stuff

Hello all

Sorry for my lack of posts but I have has a horrid cold for the last few days and just not felt like doing much crafting.... but I have done a little bit of sorting :) do you wanna see??

I decided that I needed some better storage for my stamp sets as I love to be able to see what I have and even though they are tucked away in my (Ikea) cupboards, I want to be able to access them easily when I open the door.

I found these little boxes in Ikea (how did we cope before Ikea?)

Now they did need a little 'adjustment' when I got them as the have a small piece of plastic on the inside that stops the drawer from falling out.... but means that I could not have my stamps sets stood up... so it had to go! This only took a few minutes with my craft knife and then these little drawers were perfect!  I have 4 (3 for new stuff and 1 for my retired)... not quiet enough, but still have a little room on top for my extra's lol.

I then decided I needed new storage for my A4 card.  I am still learning the names, so I first made myself a color chart and then started to file my card in A4 plastic pockets.  The ones that I got were from Amazon and are a really nice thickness and extra wide - so they hold a full pack of card :) For the ones that I had a full pack of card I also cut out the little bar code number so I have it to hand when I am making my cards for my stock list.  Love making my work much easier to do :) 

Just hope I have the right names on the colors now!

Weekly Deals 3.2.16

Hello all

Back again this week with the new weekly offers

Some lovely items this week... on a Christmas theme!! Well they do say we need to start early for all those Christmas cards haha

So we have the Thinlets Ornaments, Snow Flurry Punch {hearts} one of my favorites! and then Wondrous Wreath and Sheltering Tree - which both can be adapted for Christmas and any other time of the year cards  :)  and some LOVELY pearls to co-ordinate.  Some really good bargains again.

Hello life!

Evening all

Been having a little play with this lovely little stamp set this evening, why is it you never really know what you are going to do with a card until you start to play!

I started tonight session by embossing the World Traveler Textured Impression Folder...... hmm, another day for that one!

I then got out a piece of the DSP Have a Cuppa.... oooo love these colours! Bermuda Bay, Melon Mambo and Pool Party WOW!  Then this lovely stamp set - Hello Life and wow we have a card :)

Hints and Tips

Make you own patterned papers -  I love DSP but I only like to use a little haha! So by using the stamps in the sets you can make your own with a little ink and card.  I used Melon Mambo ink on Melon Mambo Cardstock with a little Bermuda Bay ink for highlights.
