Pink pink and more pink....

Evening all

Just a quick post tonight to show you a little set of ''Thank you'' note cards that I created.

These were quick and easy cards just with one stamp set. The cards are 10cm x 10cm and the thank you punched with the 2 3/8'' punch.  The stamp set used was A Whole Lot of Lovely - which is one that you can only get as a hostess.  I would love to demonstrate at a party for you, and these would be a perfect little set to started with.  Get in touch and lets look at dates and this little set and stamp set could be yours.

Hints and Tips
Scraps - these cards were all made from using scraps of white and pink cards - never throw away your scraps - you will always find a use for them

Look forward to seeing you back soon and let me know if you need anything and the details for my SHOP are HERE!

CCMC390 - Color Challenge

Evening

Sorry I have not been around much for the last couple of days, but it was my birthday on Thursday and just been really busy with nice things of course.

Today I am joining in with Create with Connie and Mary Color challenge.  This weeks colors are
Hello Honey Lost Lagoon Real Red

Here is my card:

I used the 'You've got this' Stamp set for the background and flower, and the 'Tin of Cards' Stamp set for the happy birthday.  Can you see that I also used my Wink of Stella glitter brush as a blending tool!!! WOW I love them!

Do you remember me telling you to ALWAYS do more than one card..... SO glad I did today, and my first card had a little accident... can you see it?  Thank you Stampin' Up! for Washi Tape!! hee hee

Hints and Tips

Search for colors when looking for ideas - I know you might get hundreds of images, but sometimes it really helps to see how the colors look together.

Don't always use your first stamp image - You will see that my Hello Honey background is quiet light, I didn't want a really strong background so I stamped first on a piece of scrap paper and used the second stamp as my image for my card.  Sometime you just gotta play until you like the look.

Look forward to seeing you back soon and let me know if you need anything and the details for my SHOP are HERE!

Thank you for being you....

Evening all

How are you all.  I have been playing this evening, I am trying to do a little every night to get into a routine, but there is just not enough hours in the day, but I do have 2 days leave this week as it is my birthday!  My hubby is not off work so I will be getting some crafting in, to get ahead!

On to my card today - I saw this card a few weeks ago and but I didn't have any of the papers or the stamps... but what I did have was my new pad of Love Blossoms DSP!!! so I adapted and this is what I got

I used a LOT of products on this card and they are listed below.

Ideally you would have the Banner Framelits (132173) to help with this, but I didn't have them, but I was able to measure and cut and get the same affect..... however I now want the dies :)

I used some of Rose Red card for the first layer, and then the Mint Macaron It's My Party DSP for the 2nd layer.  The flower paper was from the Love Blossoms DSP and the stamp from Suite Sayings and finally the flower from the Petite Petals used with the punch.

Hints and Tips

Always make more than one card - It takes a lot of effort and time to get out all the bits that you need to make one card, so always make MORE than one.  If you do 4 of the same design, you will always have a card when you need one.

Get the bundles - the Petite Petals stamp set and punch is still available as a bundle to purchase, so you will save 15% and these little flowers will always come in handy for cards, gift tags etc - the item number is 140256 (wooden) £21.50 and 140257 (clear) £19.00

Look forward to seeing you back soon and let me know if you need anything

What do I love about the new Spring/Summer Catalogue.....

Hope you are all having a lovely weekend so far

I thought I would share with you today a few of the items that I have fallen in love with in the new catalogue that you might just want to add to your wish/shopping list!

So here goes

1 Big Shot Die Brush
OMG! this saves so much time by making it easy to remove all the small pieces of card from intricate dies.  It comes with the foam pad that you put under the die that has been cut with the Big Shot and then run the little brush over the die a few times and the little pieces just pop out! You then just have to remove the die cut and you are ready to go.  This will be one of the best tenners you have every spent!  £10.00 yes £10.00 only!

2 Wink of Stella Glitter Brushes
Oh yeah! We now have glitter in a brush!!  I LOVE these, the clear is fab to use over any stamped image or even to use as a water brush to make your ink all glittery.  The gold is a stronger colour and I know it is a LONG way off but cards for the wintery season will look amazing with this!  These are a snip at £7.25 each.

3 Bloomin' Heart Thinlets Dies
Have you ever seen anything this beautiful??   These dies cuts images are going to be all over the web this year.... valentines, wedding day, anniversary, friendship....I bet you can think of more.  You get 3 dies, the lovely big heart and 2 flowers which can be added in a different colour for contrast. I am playing with this one tonight!  The die on its own is £22.00 - or you could save 15% and get one of our bundles with the Bloomin' Love Stamp Set for just £31.25.

4 It's my party Designer Washi tape
I have never been a Washi tape convert.... until I saw this lovely little pile of yumminess!  You get all 5 rolls for just £7.25.  The colours are Basic Black, Crushed Curry, Melon Mambo and Mint Macaron.  The black one is perfect for male cards and the pink is yummy for the girlies, however I am not sure yet if I can bring myself in to using the one with the little balloon.... it is just TOO cute for words!

5 Suite Sayings Stamp set
Okay this got in my top 5 as I have used EVERY stamp already this year!  I am planning my first card class using this stamp set as I just love the sayings and they can be used ALL YEAR round.  Don't ya just love it when you never have to put the stamp set away!!  haha I know that I do.  The cost of this lovely set is £26.00 for wooden and £19.00 for the clear and this set also co-ordinates with the Designer Series paper, giving us more ways to use them!

Hope this has given you some ideas for your next purchase.  Pop over to my shop HERE if you would like to order and I look forward to seeing what you do with the lovely items from Stampin' Up! Spring/Summer Catalogue.

Balloon Celebrations

Oh I love a balloon!!  Look at these beauties which are NEW!! in the Spring/Summer Catalogue.  You can purchase the stamp set and the punch in a bundle and save 15%.... we all love a bargain.

Hints and Tips

Scraps - This punch and stamp set is PERFECT for using up your scrap card and papers.  I have just used pink tones here, but I have many more balloon designs coming to show you :)

Punching and Stamping this set - Make sure when you are stamping you leave enough card around your stamp as you can only punch the balloon 1 way!  I made this mistake just the once - you will see my middle balloon is slightly more hand-cut haha!  Never-mind it all adds to the effect :)

Look forward to seeing you back soon and let me know if you need any help with an order or would like a paper catalogue

Monday, 11 January 2016

Hello.....

…. and welcome to my little blog!  I am so pleased that you have found me, and hope that you stay a while, whilst I get warmed up in blogland with posts about Stampin’ Up! and some tips to card making.

I am starting off this week with NEW items!!!  These are available from the new Spring/Summer Catalogue (HERE) but everything is also available in my shop (HERE).  Now the HELLO stamp set is only available to you if you spend over £45 in one order….. during our Sale-A-Bration period but then it is FREE!!

I started off with the new Bloomin' Love Stamp Set for that lovely heart stamped with Melon Mambo Ink and the smaller grey flowers in Basic Grey ink, and then used the Hello Stamp Set (SAB ONLY) for the sentiment. Using the Black script paper from the Going Place DSP and the It's my party Washi tape, a few gems, some Wink of Stella Clear glitter and some Melon Mambo card and we are finished! Easy eh?

Stampin’ Up! makes colour combinations to easy…. they just always seem to work!  The papers match the ink, that match the card, that even match the Washi tape! A-maz-ing!
Hints and Tips

Wink of Stella - Is a must have!  Stampin’ Up! have two colours Clear and Gold.  I used clear on the flowers on this card.  The brush tip is lovely and fine and I was easily able to paint glitter on the small areas. Who does not like glitter??

Layers – A layered card always looks better to me, than just a flat one.  You can see here that I have added dimensionals to my Melon Mambo card layer so that you can see the Designer Series Paper better behind.

Look forward to seeing you back soon and let me know if you need any help with an order or would like a paper catalogue
